Known for his in-depth, frank approach to teaching God’s Word, Gil Rugh is the Senior Pastor of Indian Hills Community Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. His verse-by-verse exposition of the Bible is based on careful study of the Scriptures, with special attention devoted to the historical and grammatical background.
Dedicated to equipping the saints for ministry through the local church, Gil has served as senior pastor of Indian Hills Community Church since 1969. His determination to profess Christ and take his stand on the Word of God–wherever the battle rages–led him to a conviction to not shy away from teaching on controversial topics, like church discipline, election, Covenant Theology, dispensationalism, the role of women, homosexuality, psychology, Lordship Salvation, etc.
Gil’s teaching and book ministry extends around the globe. Sound Words, the in-house bookstore at Indian Hills Community Church distributes Gil’s books and messages free of charge.
Married in 1963, Gil and his wife, Marilyn, live in Lincoln, Nebraska. Together they have two grown children and six grandchildren.
Gil holds a Ph.D. from The California Graduate School of Theology and an M.Div. from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana.
